Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received Marco Rubio, Secretary of State of the United States of America, who is visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain.
His Majesty welcomed Secretary Rubio and his accompanying delegation on their visit to the Kingdom. Sceretary Rubio expressed his pleasure for visiting Bahrain and meeting His Majesty.
The meeting reviewed the bilateral ties between the two countries and means to further strengthen and develop them across various domains. It also underscored the importance of continuing to enhance cooperation, coordination, and joint action, particularly at the economic and defence levels.
The meeting also discussed regional and international developments and exchanged views on efforts to achieve security and stability. It also emphasised the importance of compliance with the memorandum of understanding, underscoring that it’s a wise approach that prioritises dialogue and diplomacy as a means of addressing issues in the region and promoting international peace and security.
