Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Order (20) of 2026 establishing and forming the National Resilience Documentation Committee.
The committee is responsible for monitoring and documenting the brutal Iranian attacks on the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Committee shall be chaired by Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat), and shall include representatives from the following entities:
1. The Royal Court.
2. Bahrain Defence Force.
3. Ministry of Interior.
4. Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
5. Ministry of Cabinet Affairs.
6. Ministry of Education.
7. Ministry of Information.
8. Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat).
9. National Communication Centre.
10. National Archives Centre.
The committee may seek the assistance of experts and specialists as required to support its work.
The committee aims to strengthen the concept of institutional national memory and establish a documented national narrative reflecting the unity of the leadership and the people in confronting challenges. It will also monitor and document all forms of resilience, defence, and institutional and societal solidarity.
Its mandate includes preparing an official national record documenting the national resilience effort, supported by facts and evidence, and preserving it within the national archives system. It will also prepare relevant material and frameworks for educational, media and research purposes.
The committee will be responsible for developing the general framework for documenting the national resilience effort and approving its key themes. It will also approve implementation plans and standards governing the collection, documentation, classification and preservation of material.
In addition, the committee will determine the materials that may be published and circulated in accordance with the Law on the Protection of State Information and Documents and approve the final documentation outputs for deposit with the National Archives Centre.
The concerned authorities, each within their respective competence, shall implement this Order, which shall take effect from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
