Abu Dhabi : His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, witnessed the exchange and announcement of several agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) aimed at advancing cooperation between the two countries.
The agreements were exchanged during Modi’s official visit to the UAE and covered sectors including energy, defence, artificial intelligence, maritime industries, and infrastructure investment.
Among the agreements signed were strategic collaboration agreements between Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Indian energy companies, an agreement on the framework for strategic defence partnership between the UAE and Indian ministries of defence, and agreements related to ship repair and maritime skills development.
The two sides also announced several investment agreements, including Emirates NBD’s acquisition of a 60% stake in RBL Bank, an investment by Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) in the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), and an investment by International Holding Company (IHC) in Sammaan Capital.
