Abu Dhabi : The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Defence announced that air defence systems intercepted two ballistic missiles and three drones launched from Iran on May 8, resulting in three moderate injuries.
The ministry said that since the start of the Iranian attacks targeting the UAE, air defence systems have intercepted 551 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles, and 2,263 drones.
It added that the total number of injuries has reached 230 cases involving multiple nationalities.
The ministry said the total number of deaths has reached three, including a Moroccan civilian working under contract with the Armed Forces, while civilian fatalities have reached 10.
The Ministry of Defence affirmed its full readiness to address threats and respond to attempts targeting the UAE’s security, sovereignty, stability, and national interests.
