Manama : A delegation from the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB), led by Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of Bahrain EDB, is participating in the Milken Institute Global Conference, held from May 3 to 6 in Los Angeles, California.
The conference brings together global leaders across business, finance, technology, philanthropy, and civil society to discuss issues shaping global markets and long-term prosperity.
Held under the theme “Leading in a New Era,” the 2026 conference focuses on leveraging innovation and recent developments to deliver practical solutions for a more sustainable and resilient future. The programme includes high-level discussions on global markets, innovation, financial security, and international cooperation.
Minister Alkhulaif participated in a roundtable discussion titled “Resilience by Design: Adaptation and Growth in the Middle East,” alongside Bandar bin Ibrahim Al Khorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia, and Jenny Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Franklin Templeton.
The Sustainable Development Minister highlighted Bahrain’s approach to strengthening resilience through economic diversification, effective public-private sector cooperation, and a partnership-driven model supported by advanced infrastructure, proactive policies, and regional and international integration. She noted that these factors contribute to sustaining economic growth, enhancing investor confidence, and supporting long-term development.
The Bahrain EDB delegation includes Steven C. Bondy, Senior Advisor for US Strategic Investments; Mohammed Al Alawi, Chief of Marketing and Communications; Musab Abdullah, Executive Director of ICT; and Ishaq Ishaq, Executive Director of Manufacturing, Transport and Logistics.
Minister Alkhulaif and delegation members held meetings with current and prospective investors, alongside participation in business forums and events, as part of the delegation’s visit to the United States, which includes Los Angeles and Seattle.
