Manama : The High Committee for the Care of People with Disabilities held its second meeting of 2026, chaired by Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi, Minister of Social Development and Chairman of the High Committee.
Minister Al Alawi affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to continue developing services for people with disabilities. He highlighted that this aims to strengthen their inclusion in society and ensure equal opportunities across all domains.
The Social Development Minister underlined the importance of continuing to enhance joint work between relevant entities to improve services for people with disabilities and achieve social development goals.
The committee also reviewed a number of items on the agenda, including operational plans for several service facilities, as well as proposals from the private sector and individuals aimed at developing services for people with disabilities in Bahrain.
