Twenty engineering students from various colleges in Tamil Nadu have arrived in Bahrain as part of an overseas exposure programme, coordinated by Al Ahlia University, Bahrain.

The visit is organized under the Tamil Nadu Government’s “Naan Mudhalvan” scheme, a flagship initiative aimed at empowering the state’s youth by enhancing industry-relevant skills and providing structured career guidance. Through specialized training and dynamic learning opportunities, the scheme supports students in building strong career pathways and securing their future.

These twenty undergraduate engineering students, mostly from rural backgrounds, were selected through a rigorous scouting process from over 7,000 applicants. As part of their Bahrain visit, the Bharathi Association, a registered club functioning under the guidance of the Ministry of Social Affairs, organized an interactive session for the students on Saturday at the Al Ahlia University premises.

Bharathi Association officials, along with Al Ahlia University representatives, participated in a panel discussion with the students. This visit marked the students’ first overseas experience, and during the interaction, their clarity of thought, intellectual discussions, and strong career aspirations were clearly evident.

The session featured addresses and guidance from Bharathi Association President Vallam Basheer, General Secretary Abdul Qaiyum, Entertainment Secretary Hansul Gani, and Internal Auditor Muthuvel, who motivated the students and offered valuable life and career advice. ALBA Suresh delivered a talk focused on technical support and industry readiness. Al Ahlia University officials Gowri Shankar and Professor Suresh were also present during the meeting.

Each student was given an opportunity to share their experiences, insights, and the knowledge gained during the visit, making the session highly interactive and inspiring.
