Riyadh :Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), welcomed the signing of the Doha Framework Peace Agreement between the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Congo River Alliance “March 23 Movement.”
Albudaiwi commended the State of Qatar for its efforts in hosting and supporting the negotiation process, noting its effective contribution and firm commitment to enhancing regional and international security and to resolving conflicts through peaceful means.
The Secretary General expressed hope that this agreement will pave the way towards achieving comprehensive reconciliation and maintaining stability and development in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
