Kuwait : Ibrahim Hamad Al Wazzan, Advisor for Press Affairs at the Ministry of Information and supervisor of Bahrain’s pavilion at the media exhibition accompanying the 45th GCC Summit in Kuwait, highlighted the pavilion’s distinction in providing a comprehensive overview of Bahrain through a display of significant books and media materials.
Al Wazzan noted that the exhibition underscores the GCC’s commitment to the role of media. He highlighted Bahrain’s rich history and civilisation, which reflect the Kingdom’s achievements under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Saleh Al Thawadi, representing the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), said that the Authority is presenting a range of historical and cultural books that highlight Bahrain’s deep heritage. These include publications on UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Bahrain Fort, the Dilmun Burial Mounds, and the Pearling Path, as well as books about Bahrain National Theatre, Bahrain National Museum, and cultural activities. The displayed books showcase Bahrain’s accomplishments, reinforcing its regional and international standing.
Key publications include Two Prosperous Decades, which provides an objective and scientific insight into the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad and his pioneering efforts in achieving comprehensive progress across all sectors, positioning Bahrain as a model for development and freedoms.
Another notable book, First Vision Salman, published by the Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat), offers an in-depth look at the life of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, highlighting his early assumption of responsibility. A diverse collection of books on Bahrain’s history and civilisation across various domains is also featured.
The media exhibition, organised as part of the accompanying activities of the GCC Summit, serves as an important platform to highlight the culture and history of the Gulf region. It reflects the collective efforts of GCC countries to strengthen national identity and provides an opportunity for cultural exchange and knowledge-sharing among member states.
