Riyadh : Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, led Bahrain’s delegation at the eighth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference in Saudi Arabia.
The forum, held under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, carried the theme “Infinite Horizons: Investing Today, Shaping Tomorrow.”
The delegation from Bahrain included Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and CEO of the Economic Development Board (EDB); Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce; Khalid bin Ibrahim Humaidan, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB); Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, and other senior officials.
Shaikh Salman underscored Bahrain’s commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to supporting initiatives addressing global economic challenges and fostering international cooperation to build a prosperous, sustainable future.
He emphasised that this approach aligns with the government’s vision, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which focuses on strengthening economic and investment partnerships to advance global development.
Shaikh Salman also highlighted the importance of the FII as a key platform for presenting promising investment opportunities and promoting the exchange of experiences and best practices to drive economic growth.
During the conference, Yasir bin Othman Al Rumayyan, Governor of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Chairman of the FII Institute in Saudi Arabia, outlined new strategies to tackle global economic challenges.
The conference also addressed critical economic topics, including economic stability, equitable development, climate change, artificial intelligence, innovation, health, and geopolitical issues, establishing it as a focal point for decision-makers worldwide.
