Manama : Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi, the Minister of Youth Affairs, said Bahrain Youth Day signified the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for the youth of the Kingdom.
She underscored HM the King’s faith in the abilities of Bahraini youth, providing them with significant avenues to contribute to the progress of diverse sectors, engage in decision-making processes, and partake in national initiatives that shape the future of the kingdom.
The minister said Bahraini Youth Day was a national occassion that aims at encouraging the role of youth and their contributions to national development. She said it also served as a platform to showcase youth leadership, ideas, and accomplishments across various fields, with the continuous support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for youth empowerment.
She highlighted the support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, for the role of Bahraini youth in advancing the development of Bahrain across sectors. She noted that His Highness actively engaged with youth and backed initiatives designed for them.
She emphasised the importance of speaking the language of youth, highlighting their accomplishments, strengthening their presence, and empowering them across various fields.
She said that initiatives have been launched to cultivate hope among youth and activate their participation in national programmes, laying a foundation for youth leadership and success.
She affirmed that the Bahraini youth, with their national identity and global scale ambitions, transcended geographical borders.
Their pursuit of significant milestones not only showcases Bahrain’s accomplished and ambitious youth but also elevates the kingdom’s standing on the international stage, she said.
