Manama : Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, emphasised that the support provided to young people by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, have contributed to strengthening a development model centred on investing in people and empowering youth as a main driver of development and prosperity.
The minister also highlighted the role of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, in advancing initiatives aimed at preparing young leaders capable of contributing to Bahrain’s development process.
Her remarks came during the opening of the supplementary Gulf forum of the “Gulf Aware Leaders – Wellbeing and Leadership” programme, held virtually with the participation of representatives from the GCC General Secretariat and youth leaders from GCC countries.
Tawfeeqi said the forum reflects efforts to strengthen youth leadership skills, promote wellbeing, and support positive engagement with challenges and developments.
The forum included specialised sessions on mental wellbeing and leadership, as well as discussions on youth initiatives and ways to further develop the programme and expand its impact across GCC countries.
