Geneva : The World Health Organisation (WHO) announced that 896 confirmed Ebola cases and 232 deaths have been recorded in the Democratic Republic of the Congo one month after the outbreak was declared.
WHO said more than 115 experts have been deployed and 110 tonnes of emergency supplies delivered to support response efforts, while 78 patients have recovered.
The organisation noted that challenges remain in accessing high-risk areas, tracing contacts, and securing additional funding to contain the outbreak.
