Head of the World Health Organisation yesterday commended Bahrain’s efforts to contain the coronavirus.
This came when His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, held a telephone call with WHO director general Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
They reviewed developments regarding the global spread of Covid-19, and also discussed Bahrain’s efforts to contain and prevent its spread, including testing, quarantine, isolation and treatment procedures.
The director general commended Bahrain on the precautionary and preventative efforts it has taken, which contribute to safeguarding the health and safety of the kingdom’s citizens and residents.
