Washington : US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun in Washington to discuss advancing their strategic alliance.
The ministers highlighted the alliance as a cornerstone of peace, security, and prosperity on the Korean Peninsula and in the Indo-Pacific for more than seven decades.
They reviewed an agenda to bolster regional deterrence, enhance burden sharing, revitalise US industry, and ensure fairness and reciprocity in trade.
Both sides also underscored the importance of US–Japan–South Korea trilateral cooperation amid rising regional challenges.
