Manama : As part of national efforts to strengthen national belonging, the Executive Office of the National Plan to Promote National Belonging and Reinforce the Values of Citizenship, “Bahrainouna”, launched Bahrain’s National Values Icons contest. Thursday, May 14, has been set as the deadline for submitting entries.
The competition invites designers, creatives, and university students to transform the 18 national values into an integrated set of modern slogans presented through a unified visual design that reflects Bahrain’s authentic identity.
Launched on April 12, the competition aims to highlight national creative talent and encourage them to present an innovative visual vision that showcases Bahraini national values in a modern way, in line with the objectives of “Bahrainouna”, which are to strengthen national belonging and reinforce the values of citizenship.
According to the competition requirements, participants must be at least 15 years old. Entries may be submitted individually or by a team of no more than two members, with all slogans designed within one unified visual concept and in a modern style.
The Executive Office invited those wishing to participate to submit their entries by email to contest@bahrainouna.com, accompanied by a report, based on the attached template, explaining the creative concept, the artistic style used, and the extent to which the design aligns with national values.
Entries will be evaluated by a specialised judging committee based on criteria including creativity and originality, unified visual design, clarity of concept and symbolism, and technical quality and usability.
The Executive Office explained that the winner will receive a cash prize of BD1,000, in addition to having the winning set of slogans officially adopted and showcased in a guide.
It noted that the competition is part of a series of initiatives aimed at raising awareness, strengthening youth culture, supporting national creativity, and encouraging community participation in expressing its values and identity through modern, impactful means.
