Abu Dhabi : His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the two countries.
The discussions took place during Modi’s official visit to the UAE.
The two sides emphasised their commitment to expanding cooperation in support of sustainable prosperity for both countries and reviewed progress in several sectors, including the economy, investment, energy, space, food security, technology, and artificial intelligence.
They also addressed regional and international developments, particularly the situation in the Middle East and its implications for regional and international security, maritime security, energy supplies, and the global economy.
Prime Minister Modi reiterated India’s condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting civilians, civilian facilities, and infrastructure in the UAE, describing them as violations of sovereignty and international law.
