Manama : Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism and Chairperson of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, received Dalal Ahmed Al Qais, CEO of the Bahrain Development Bank, to discuss expanding cooperation to support tourism investment and the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The meeting reviewed joint initiatives to strengthen the tourism and events sectors in line with the Tourism Strategy 2022–2026 and Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
Al Sairafi highlighted the role of SMEs in diversifying Bahrain’s tourism offering and enhancing visitor experiences, stressing the importance of partnerships with national development institutions to foster entrepreneurship, support business growth, and boost the Kingdom’s competitiveness as a tourism and investment destination.
Al Qais affirmed the BDB’s commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships with government entities and exploring innovative financing solutions to help tourism and events sector SMEs expand and capitalise on investment opportunities, supporting Bahrain’s sustainable economic development.
