Doha : Team Bahrain delivered a strong performance on the eighth day of the 4th Gulf Cooperation Council Games in Doha, winning gold medals in volleyball and handball against hosts Qatar, along with two silver and two bronze medals in shooting. Bahrain’s total medal tally rose to 61 medals: 25 gold, 22 silver and 14 bronze.

The volleyball team secured gold with a 3-0 win over Qatar, while the handball team claimed gold after defeating Qatar 24-19.
In shooting, Bahrain won silver in the men’s 10m pistol individual and team events, and bronze in the women’s 10m pistol and shotgun trap team competitions.

Bahrain’s participation continues on Wednesday with shooting and archery events.
