Manama :The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) launched an interactive booth for Career World, an initiative under Skills Bahrain, at City Centre Bahrain to provide students and young Bahrainis with career guidance and labour market information.
The launch was attended by Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, and Alya Al Aali, Deputy Chief Executive of Strategy and Insights at Tamkeen.
Located at Entrance 1, the booth provides access to the Career World platform, which showcases more than 160 professions and provides information on associated academic disciplines, skills and career pathways. Students can also book career guidance and counselling sessions through the platform.
Al Aali said the initiative aims to translate labour market insights into practical tools that help students and young Bahrainis make informed educational and career decisions. She said the booth would broaden access to career guidance resources and support early career planning.
Career World is Bahrain’s first specialised career guidance and counselling platform. The Skills Bahrain initiative is implemented under Tamkeen in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Higher Education Council, using data provided by the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA).
The platform serves students, parents and career counsellors by providing labour market information and guidance to help align interests, skills and career aspirations with current and future labour market requirements.
