Manama : Palakkad Arts and Cultural Theater (PAACT) hosted a one-day long Mega Event BHAVALAYAM 2024 – on Friday, 24th May at Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam Diamond Jubilee auditorium in association with Star Vision Events and Al Sherif Group of companies. The event turned out to be a Super hit.
Event was graced by the presence Mr. Yusuf Lori- Director of Information & Follow up- Capital Governorate as Chief Guest , Guests of Honor: Mr. Lal Jose, famous Malayalam Film Director, Mr Sreeram, a well known Singer & artist, Mr. Pambavasn Nair, MD & Chairman- Amad Group of companies & Ascon Control W LL, Mr. Radhakrishnan Pillai , President- Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam, Dr. Babu Ramachandran, Chairman- ICRF, Mr. Sethuraj Kadakkal , Chairman of Star Vision Events and Media Group.
The morning session- Chembai Sangeetholavam was inaugurated by the doyen of fusion music- Mr Sriram Palakkad. Carnatic music students & music teachers of Bahrain did the keerthana alaap as a tribute to the legendary singer Late Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar (popularly known as Chembai) who hails from Palakkad. The session could captivate the hearts & souls of all music lovers.
“Nilolsavam”, the second segment presented a musical Fusion by Mr. Sreeram Palakkad & the third – a stage thriller Dance Drama – “Maayika” – directed by Shyam Ramachandran, scripted by Preethi sreekumar. Associate director – Nandan Warrier & Choreographed by Vibin. Both shows made an indelible mark in the cultural facet of Bahrain due to the innovative approach, technical perfection & theatrical elegance.
