Sofia : Three people were killed in the Black Sea resort of Elenite after heavy rains caused severe flooding in southeastern Bulgaria.
According to the Interior Ministry, the victims included two rescuers, one from the border police and a tractor driver, while the third died inside a hotel after water levels rose suddenly.
Videos shared on social media showed muddy torrents sweeping away cars and damaging infrastructure. Authorities declared a state of emergency in parts of southeastern and northwestern Bulgaria and deployed drones to search for stranded individuals.
