Manama : The Bureau of the Council of Representatives, chaired by Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, commended the royal pardon issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, for 457 individuals, marking the 25th anniversary of His Majesty’s accession.
The Bureau noted that the royal pardon reflects His Majesty’s commitment to promoting tolerance, justice, and reintegration of pardoned individuals into society, contributing to family stability and national security.
It also recognised the government’s role, under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in implementing royal initiatives and advancing legal reforms, including the alternative sanctions and open prisons programmes.
The Bureau acknowledged the Ministry of Interior’s efforts, led by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, in supporting national principles and upholding the rule of law.
