Manama : : The General Directorate of Port Security, in cooperation with the Coast Guard and Masar Group, which specialises in maritime transport, conducted a maritime evacuation exercise at the King Fahad Causeway as part of efforts to enhance readiness and preparedness for emergencies.
The exercise aimed to test approved plans and procedures and strengthen coordination and cooperation among the participating entities, thereby contributing to a rapid and effective response to emergencies and the protection of lives and property.
The exercise included implementing training scenarios in accordance with the approved plans, as part of efforts to enhance the participating teams’ efficiency, raise their readiness to handle various circumstances, and ensure the effectiveness of joint coordination mechanisms among the relevant authorities.
