Manama : The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force issued the following statement: The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force announces with profound sorrow the death of one of the civilian contractors in the UAE Armed Forces, a Moroccan national, while on duty alongside Bahrain Defence Force personnel in defence of the Kingdom against the ongoing treacherous Iranian missile and drone attacks that have targeted the Kingdom of Bahrain’s territory since 28 February 2026.
The General Command extends its deepest condolences to the UAE Armed Forces and to the family of the deceased.
The General Command also confirms that a number of its personnel, alongside those from the UAE armed forces, sustained injuries while repelling Iran’s treacherous aggression. All wounded were evacuated immediately and given the necessary medical attention. The General Command continues to monitor their recovery. The majority have since been discharged from the hospital, with most injuries assessed as minor to moderate.
Bahrain Defence Force personnel remain fully operational and resolute at their posts, defending the Kingdom’s airspace, territorial waters, and land with unwavering resolve against all threats to national security and stability.
