Manama : Naseej has broken ground on the infrastructure works for its Amwaj Avenue project at the entrance to the Amwaj Islands in Muharraq Governorate, in the presence of Bassem bin Yaqoob Al Hamar, President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB); Ahmed Abdulaziz Al Khayyat, Chief Executive of the Urban Planning and Development Authority (UPDA); Amin Al Arrayed, Chief Executive Officer of Naseej.
Al Hamar said the project reflects the continued growth of Bahrain’s real estate sector and the strength of public-private partnerships in supporting urban development. He affirmed the SLRB’s commitment to supporting developers by streamlining procedures, expediting transactions, and issuing title deeds to enhance project readiness and the investment environment.
Al Khayyat described the groundbreaking as a key milestone marking the project’s transition from planning to implementation. He reaffirmed the UPDA’s commitment to advancing sustainable urban development through strategic projects and close cooperation with the private sector.
Al Arrayed said the project represents one of Naseej’s flagship mixed-use developments and reflects the company’s vision of creating integrated and sustainable communities. He commended the support of the UPDA and the SLRB in advancing the project to the implementation stage.
The first phase includes the construction of roads, utilities, and essential infrastructure. The mixed-use development spans approximately 125,000 square metres and comprises 253 residential plots and 27 investment plots at a strategic location at the entrance to the Amwaj Islands.
