Manama : The Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture underscored that parks, walkways, gardens, beaches, and waterfronts; popular destinations during festive periods; are well-maintained and ready for visitors during Eid Al Fitr.
Bahrain’s parks offer a variety of attractions, including green spaces, open areas, playgrounds, and sports walkways. They are also designed to be accessible for people of determination, with dedicated cycling paths and fitness equipment available.

The ministry and the Governorates have prioritised the development of parks by opening new recreational spaces, upgrading existing ones, and enhancing public facilities. Every year, new entertainment and service areas are added, ensuring a constantly improving leisure environment.
The ministry’s park and recreation projects support its sustainable development strategy, enhancing Bahrain’s beauty and providing family-friendly spaces. Key destinations include the Water Garden, Muharraq Grand Park, and Prince Khalifa bin Salman Park, alongside over 200 parks, walkways, and coastal areas for residents and visitors.

Neighbourhood parks ensure easy access within residential areas, such as Barbar Park with its sea view and amenities, Hamad Town Walkway 1209 spanning 1.4 km, Sanad Park (2,200 sqm) in Block 743, and Saar Park (3,000+ sqm) in Block 525.
Cultural preservation remains a priority, exemplified by Ain Raya Park’s restoration of its historic spring. Other heritage parks, including Ain Um Quwayfah, Riffa Park, and Al Hunainiyah Park, feature distinctive designs, greenery, and extensive landscaping.
The Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture invites the public to the Eid Al-Fitr celebrations at parks and recreational areas across Bahrain, underscoring its commitment to maintaining beautiful public spaces and providing a comfortable and enjoyable environment for all.
