Manama : Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, the Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister, and Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, paid an inspection visit to Manama Central Market to review the business developments and needs of the market merchants.
Al Mubarak emphasised the keenness of the Municipalities Ministry to develop the central market and provide all services needed to accommodate the needs of merchants.

He stressed that Manama Central Market is one of the most prominent and largest markets in the kingdom, and is a hub for selling food and supplying all areas in Bahrain with goods, and products.
The Municipalities Minister inspected the completion rates of various projects, indicating that the shading of the loading and unloading area is 3% complete. In addition to capacitors installation, which is 95% complete and will rationalise daily electricity consumption and reducing operational expenses. The main umbrella replacement project of the fish market is complete, and it will develop the level of services by reducing the heat.

Fakhro said that the Industry Ministry is constantly monitoring the movement of the Central Market in terms of the streamlining food commodities and identifying obstacles.
He added that the ministry will coordinate with relevant authorities, to reduce commodity price rises, monitor and deal with any illegal acts in accordance with current procedures.
The industry minister affirmed the readiness of merchants in Ramadhan, through the early import of primary goods in addition to providing an abundance of local products.
