The iconic calendar event of The Indian Club – May Queen pageant concluded
with a positive note to the fashion aspirants. The program started at 8:30pm on
Friday 26th of May 2023, and went on to the early hours of the next day. Even
though it was a fashion pageant, the Indian Club event making team have
ensured that, It was an evening blended for all kinds of audience. The total
program is crafted well to avoid the time lag & kept the crowd always engaged.
The event lured more than 1000 spectators to the venue.
H.E. Mr. Piyush Shrivastava, Indian Ambassador to The Kingdom of Bahrain was
the Chief Guest for this event.
The show started with a dance performance – ‘Theme Round’ displayed by all the
16 contestants & sponsored by Kachh Gh, followed by R&B Casual Round,
Beyon Money Ethnic Round & African Eastern Party Wear Round.
The initial three rounds of the pageant (casual, ethnic and party wear rounds)
witnessed healthy competition between the 16 contestants, which shows the
professionalism trained to them. The Choreographer Ms. Anju Shivdas & the
groomer Mr. Asar Ziya has done a wonderful job by imparting positive thoughts
to the contestants during their grooming sessions.
The judge’s panel was having a tough time for evaluating the 16 contestants from
the first round onwards & to screen in the five for the final Q&A round.
Towards the finish of show, The Indian Club Beyon Money May Queen 2023
crown was won by ‘Ms. Malavika Sureshkumar’, followed by 1st Runner-up
‘Ms. Alina Nathalie Mendonca’ & the 2nd Runner-up ‘Ms. Megha
Shivakumar’ and the rest 2 finalists ‘Ms. Nayana Manoharan’ & ‘Ms. Astral
Cutinha’.
The category awards – Sree Sowkya Best Smile was awarded to ‘Ms. Nayana
Manoharan’, Megamart Best Walk to ‘Ms. Malavika Suresh Kumar’,
Maysoon Saloon Best Hairdo to ‘Ms. Alina Nathalie’ & Clear vision
Audience choice to ‘Ms. Astral Cutinha’.
The winners received handful of great prizes, The Indian Club Beyon Money May
Queen 2023 received the crown, sash, a cash prize of $1600, and other
sponsored gifts ranging from Diamond Necklace (sponsored by Joyalukkas),
Electronic gadget gifts, other sponsored gift hampers etc. The 1st and 2nd
Runners-Up received sash’s & cash prize of $1200 & $700 respectively along
with various sponsored gift hampers; the rest 2 finalists also received cash prize
of $250 each. Category award winners have also received their respective sash’s
& sponsored gifts. The Indian Club May Queen organizers haven’t left the other
contestants empty handed rather arranged gift hampers from various brands &
were given to all contestants.
In addition to the ramp walk, the audience got to enjoy a wonderful array of
dance performances by professional artists & dance groups, including ‘The
Destiny Kings’, ‘Prismbliss’, ‘Rhythmic Dancers’, ‘Aurians’, ‘IMAC’, ‘Aura’,
‘Dazling stars’, ‘Srilankan Dance’ & Live Band by ‘SF Collective’.
The title of the event was sponsored by Beyon Money, and the show was
powered by African Eastern, along with the Event Partner PICO, Fashion Partner
R&B and Entertainment Partner Radio Mirchi. Other prize category like the Best
Smile was sponsored by ‘Sree Sowkya’, Best Walk by ‘MegaMart’, Best Hair-do
by ‘Maysoon Saloon ‘, Audience Choice by ‘Clear Vision’ & the Theme Round by
Kachh Gh.
The show was controlled by professional MC’s, with the stage set-up, light and
sound being provided by Pico.
