Kuwait : The General Authority of Civil Aviation of the State of Kuwait denied reports that transit operations had resumed at Kuwait International Airport. The Authority confirmed that the suspension remains in effect until further notice to ensure the highest standards of security and safety for passengers and aircraft amid the current regional security situation.
Abdullah Al Rajhi, spokesperson for the General Authority of Civil Aviation, said there had been no prior coordination with Jazeera Airways or any other airline regarding the resumption of transit operations,.
He added that administrative and legal measures had been taken against the airline concerned for violating approved regulations and announcing the opening of transit bookings without obtaining prior official approval.
Al Rajhi stressed that the suspension of transit operations remains subject to continuous review and assessment in line with security requirements. He noted that any future developments or regulatory changes concerning air traffic and transit operations would be announced exclusively through the Authority’s approved official channels.
