Manama : Faisal Akef Al Fayez, President of the Senate of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, departed the Kingdom of Bahrain following an official visit undertaken at the invitation of Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council.
The visit reflected the close relations and growing strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan.

During the visit, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received Al Fayez, who conveyed greetings from the Jordanian monarch. His Majesty the King relayed his greetings and appreciation to HM King Abdullah II, emphasising the strong ties between the two countries and peoples and the shared commitment to further strengthening cooperation across various domains.
Al Fayez was also received by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, during which His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Al Fayez highlighted the strength of Bahraini-Jordanian relations and their continued development.

During the visit, Al Saleh and Al Fayez held official talks reviewing parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the Jordanian Senate, as well as means to strengthen coordination, consultation, and the exchange of parliamentary expertise.
The discussions also addressed regional and international developments and the close cooperation between the two countries in addressing various challenges, including the Iranian attacks targeting GCC countries and Jordan.
Al Fayez and the accompanying delegation also visited the Bahrain Defence Force Military Museum and the National Charter Monument.
