Bahrain : The embassy of India in Bahrain celebrated the Constitution Day at the diplomatic mission in Manama.
During the ceremony, a user-friendly mobile application ‘EoIBhCONNECT’ for facilitating the consular appointment service was launched.
Marking the occasion, the ambassador read out the preamble of the constitution and flowers were offered to the ‘Father of the Nation’.
The embassy also took part in the Constitution Day celebration held at Central Hall of Parliament via live streaming.
In his address to the community, the ambassador highlighted the importance of the Constitution Day and thanked the Indian associations and community members for joining the event.
He briefed the audience about other initiatives taken by the embassy. including revamping the embassy’s website and the relocation of IVS Center to Dana Mall, with improved facilities for providing consular services.
The ambassador also highlighted various initiatives and schemes of the government of India and encouraged Indian associations to create awareness about them in the community in Bahrain.
The ambassador also briefed the community about the recent measures taken by India and Bahrain for easing of travel between the two countries in line with the excellent bilateral cooperation across various fields.
The EoIBh CONNECT’ application for scheduling appointments aims to make consular services more friendly and convenient to the community, the embassy said.
Presently, appointments for attestation services, tatkal passports and visa services can be scheduled through this app. In the second phase, the app will be expanded to include appointments at outsourced agency for consular services, IVS.
