Manama : His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Economic Development Board (EDB), today received the President of the State of Israel, His Excellency Isaac Herzog, at the EDB’s headquarters in Bahrain Bay.
His Royal Highness highlighted the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to upholding the values of understanding, dialogue, tolerance and peaceful coexistence, and to supporting international efforts that promote sustainable peace regionally and globally.
His Royal Highness expressed his hopes that HE Herzog’s visit to the Kingdom will strengthen bilateral cooperation for the betterment of both countries and their peoples. In this regard, His Royal Highness emphasised the importance of furthering Bahrain-Israel ties, building on the bilateral agreements and MoUs signed across economic, trade and investment fields.
His Royal Highness noted the Kingdom’s firm and supportive commitment to promoting long-term stability, development and prosperity for all peoples of the region.
His Royal Highness reiterated the importance of the Abraham Accords in reinforcing the mutual commitment to promoting the values of peace, coexistence and cooperation, which are the essence of building constructive partnerships between Bahrain and Israel.
The meeting also served as an opportunity to explore investment opportunities in Bahrain and Israel, including cooperation between the private sectors of both countries.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad noted the Kingdom’s diverse community, which has served as the foundation for its robust economic competitiveness.
For his part, HE Herzog expressed his gratitude to HRH the Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the EDB, for his warm reception in the Kingdom of Bahrain and his commitment to furthering bilateral cooperation.
Senior officials of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Israel also attended the meeting.
