An honest car park attendant at Lulu Hypermarket in Dana Mall was commended by Lulu Group International Chairman & MD, Mr. Yusuffali M.A. and rewarded for returning a misplaced bag full of cash and credit cards to a distraught customer.
Bangladeshi national Abu Bakar has been an employee at Lulu for over two years. Last week, when he was collecting trolleys from the car park to return to the trolley station, he found a bag with a lot of money lying in a trolley.
“The bag was full of money and credit cards so I immediately handed it over to customer service,” he said.
Shortly afterwards, the customer Mr. Mustafa Abedin came back to the hypermarket, having noticed that the bag was missing when he reached home. He was directed to customer service where he found his bag and could retrieve it after furnishing the required proof.
“Honesty and transparency are a part of every interaction at the Lulu Group and we are proud that Mr. Abu Bakar has demonstrated such trustworthiness,” said Director Mr. Juzer Rupawala, “As a mark of appreciation, our Chairman Mr. Yusuffali M.A. directed us to present him with a reward of BD 200.”
