Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa visited Youth City 2030.
His Majesty the King was received upon arrival by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), along with senior officials and Youth City 2030 supervisors.

His Majesty the King was briefed on the programmes and initiatives at Youth City 2030, the training opportunities it provides for Bahraini youth, and the programmes and courses aimed at developing their skills and abilities and enhancing their readiness to contribute to national development.
The briefing also outlined the main highlights of the 15th edition of Youth City, which features more than 324 training programmes and provides more than 10,000 training opportunities across various fields, with 9,635 young men and women taking part. It also includes 204 local and international partnerships, which contributes to enrich the programmes and providing participants with a range of experiences and expertise.

His Majesty the King then toured Youth City 2030, visiting its centres and programmes, including the Science and Technology Centre, Arts and Culture Centre, Entrepreneurship and Leadership Centre, Media and Digital Innovation Centre and Summer Sports City. His Majesty also viewed the training programmes and practical experiences offered across various fields.
His Majesty the King also visited the platform for the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism (Bahrainouna), as well as the Young Trader projects. His Majesty viewed the platform’s programmes and initiatives aimed at strengthening the values of belonging and citizenship among young people, in addition to projects presented by young participants. His Majesty was also briefed on their ideas and experiences in entrepreneurship.

His Majesty the King watched a performance by Youth City 2030 talents, showcasing the skills and abilities of young people. His Majesty greeted youth leaders and participants in the city’s programmes.
His Majesty the King expressed appreciation to the young participants at Youth City and wished them success, noting that they were the future of the Kingdom of Bahrain. His Majesty emphasised that young people are continuing the efforts of previous generations in serving Bahrain. His Majesty added that seeing their work, activities and discussions gave a positive outlook on the future of Bahrain, and commended their continued readiness.

At the end of the visit, a commemorative group photograph was taken with His Majesty the King and officials and organisers of Youth City 2030, in appreciation of their efforts to organise this national programme and provide opportunities and experiences that develop the skills and abilities of Bahraini youth.
His Majesty the King commended the continued successes achieved by Youth City 2030 since its launch as a leading initiative. His Majesty noted that the visit was out of keenness to meet Bahraini youth in appreciation of their constructive role in Bahrain’s development and progress, and to empower the Kingdom’s youth to be more creative, hone their abilities and develop their skills so they could serve their country and contribute to its continued development.

His Majesty the King commended the significant achievements of Bahraini youth, their aspirations, engagement and active participation in various areas of national work. His Majesty affirmed the continued encouragement, empowerment and preparation of young people to lead national development and build a more prosperous and advanced future for the country.
His Majesty the King expressed appreciation for the wide participation of ambitious Bahraini youth in this new edition of Youth City and for its innovative and outstanding programmes, which meet their aspirations. His Majesty affirmed that young people are the nation’s most valuable asset and the foundation of its progress and prosperity, and also highlighted their role in enhancing Bahrain’s standing, reputation and positive image, which have earned the country the respect and appreciation of nations around the world.
His Majesty the King commended the strategic programmes overseen by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to invest in young people’s skills and strengthen their role in the country’s development.
His Majesty the King praised the efforts of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad in empowering young people and supporting their initiatives. His Majesty affirmed that these efforts reflected an ambitious vision that contributes to preparing a generation capable of actively participating in national development.
His Majesty the King commended the contributions of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and continued support for the sports and youth movements. His Majesty expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Ministry of Youth Affairs in supporting Bahraini youth and developing their talents and abilities across various domains and disciplines. His Majesty also thanked all the Bahraini youth volunteers working at Youth City.
