Abu Dhabi : His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, chaired the UAE Cabinet meeting. The Cabinet approved the national transformation strategy to adopt Agentic artificial intelligence in 50% of government services and operations towards “UAE Government 4.0”.
HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid launched a national programme to train 80,000 government employees in Agentic AI skills and tools. His Highness also approved the first package of smart transformational service bundles for citizens, residents and the business sector, as well as the framework for federal entities to form specialised teams to enhance the efficiency and productivity of government work.
In the healthcare sector, the Cabinet approved the National Policy for advancing AI in healthcare and the preparation of legislation to regulate smart health applications and data governance. It also reviewed the results of premarital genome screening for 2025, approved the reconstitution of the UAE Council for Digital Wellbeing chaired by His Highness lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and added new members to the Supreme Committee for Combating Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism.
On the technological and economic front, the Cabinet reviewed the results of the Industrial Technology Transformation Programme for 2025 and the assessment of more than 620 industrial companies. It also reviewed the National Electric Vehicles Policy, which contributed to increasing public charging stations in the country to 1,200, in addition to reviewing several committee reports and Federal National Council recommendations on the teaching staff, cultural heritage, and legal professions.
In international affairs, the Cabinet approved the signing of a number of agreements and Memoranda of Understanding, including a trade and investment agreement with Kazakhstan, and cooperation agreements with Panama, Seychelles, Kosovo, Serbia, Austria, Monaco and Tonga, alongside approval to host the Fourth World Congress of University Research and the Congress of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing.
