Manama : His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa visits the Farmers’ Market, organised by the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture at the Budaiya Botanical Garden.
His Highness highlighted food security initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable agricultural production and supporting Bahraini farmers, in line with the visions and aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman noted that these efforts align with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to achieve sustainable food security and meet the Kingdom’s current and future needs.
Upon arrival, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman was received by the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, HE Eng Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, and a number of senior officials.
During a tour of the market, His Highness was briefed on the market’s agricultural products and met with farmers and business owners.
HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman commended the farmers’ commitment to preserving the farming profession, which is an integral part of Bahrain’s history and cultural heritage.
His Highness emphasised the importance of implementing innovative initiatives to support Bahraini farmers, highlighting the Farmers’ Market as a successful example as it has made significant strides in promoting national products over its 12-year history.
HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman commended the efforts made by the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, and the relevant authorities in organising events that support Bahraini farmers, wishing further success to the Farmers’ Market and its participating farmers.
For his part, HE Al Mubarak expressed his appreciation for His Highness’ visit to the Farmers’ Market, noting that it is a great source of encouragement for its participants.
HE Al Mubarak affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to fostering agricultural development in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
