Bahrain : On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, today inaugurated the 17th edition of the Manama Dialogue, held in the Four Seasons Hotel, Bahrain Bay.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak expressed his delight to inaugurate this year’s Manama Dialogue on behalf of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister.
During the inauguration, His Highness noted that the global effort to combat the COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated the importance of collective efforts when faced with global challenges.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak stressed that international strategic coordination is the most important way to further development, strengthen security and stability, and combat terrorism and extremism.
Reaffirming the Kingdom of Bahrain’s ongoing commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and support of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister, to support peace and security both regionally and internationally.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak welcomed participants and guests to the 2021 Manama Dialogue, held under the theme of Multilateralism and the Middle East, and added that the summit will provide a vital platform to exchange ideas and address the policy issues that shape regional and international security.
The theme of the 2021 Manama Dialogue is aligned with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s continuing efforts to promote dialogue and to enhance security and stability throughout the region and further afield.
His Highness concluded by noting the Manama Dialogue’s significant and positive influence over the past 17 years, in addressing vital topics across the fields of diplomacy, security and defence, and wished for a successful outcome for this year’s forum.
