Manama : In the presence of His Highness General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard, and His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), and Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) High Committee, the first round of the fourth edition of the Bahrain Turf Series, organised by REHC, was held today at the Club’s racecourse in Raffa, Sakhir.

The race saw the attendance of a number of Their Highnesses, sponsors’ representatives and prominent figures as well as horseracing enthusiasts, and took place in a vibrant atmosphere of exciting competitions between owners, trainers and horses from various countries that captivated the audience with thrilling racing action.
The fourth edition of the Bahrain Turf Series follows outstanding success and positive gains of three previous editions, since 2021, which created a transformative change in the Bahraini horseracing sport and enhanced the Kingdom’s international standing.

Winners of the first and second rounds of the Bahrain Turf Series were announced, and HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa presented Al Manama Cup, sponsored by Al Salam Bank, to the winning owner Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, while Abdulkarim Turki and Ali Habib Qassim, Al Salam Bank’s representatives, presented two awards to the winning owner and jockey.
George Chisholm, CEO of Texel Airline, presented Al Muharraq Cup, sponsored by Texel Air, to the winning trainer as well as two awards to the winning trainer and jockey.

Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Bourse, presented the fifth round’s trophy of Bahrain Bourse Cup to Abdullah Sami Nass, while Sara Ahmed Buheji, CEO of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, presented the third round’s trophy of Celebrate Bahrain Cup to the winning trainer George Scott.
HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa received the second round’s trophy of REHC Cup from Khalid Taqi, Member of the REHC’s High Committee, while Ahmed Yusuf Abdulghani, Member of the REHC’s High Committee, presented the seventh round’s trophy of REHC Cup to the winning owner Mohammed Khalid Abdulrahim.
