Manama : His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), General Sports Authority (GSA) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President, met with Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, the Minister of Tourism.
His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, GSA Deputy Chairman; Major General Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Fadhala, the Royal Protocols Chief; Dr. Nasser Qaedi, CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BETA); Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, Secretary General of BOC; Captain Walid Al-Alawi, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Royal Golf Club; and Bahrain Championship 2024-DP World Tour representatives Tom Phillips and Freddie Schmeisser, attended the meeting.
HH Shaikh Khalid emphasised the importance of completing organisational aspects and preparations for hosting the DP World Tour, which will be held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on February 1-4, 2024, at the Royal Golf Club.
HH Shaikh Khalid was briefed on the preparations for the tournament. His Highness expressed his confidence in the ability of the organising partners in successfully holding the international event.
