Manama : His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) and Chairman of the Organising Committee for the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Manama Final 2025, conducted an inspection visit to the tournament venue in the North Harbour area near the Bahrain Financial Harbour.
During the visit, His Highness reviewed progress on the construction works and assessed the readiness of the facilities for the global event, which marks the concluding stop of the World Tour that began in Japan and will be hosted in Manama on November 21 – 22.
His Highness was accompanied by Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, Chief Executive Officer of the General Sports Authority (GSA); Fares Al Kooheji, Secretary General of the BOC; Yousef Mohammed Al Binkhalil, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Information; and representatives from the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Tourism.
Officials provided His Highness with a detailed briefing on the organisational and technical preparations, confirming that the courts are being completed in accordance with the highest international standards, reflecting Bahrain’s strong sporting credentials and its capability to host major global events.
It was also reported that around 80% of the construction and technical works have been finalised, ensuring full readiness ahead of the tournament.
His Highness further examined the preparations for the “Fans Zone”, which will offer a wide range of entertainment activities and unique fan-engagement experiences, with full details to be announced at a later stage.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali directed that the area be developed as an attractive family-friendly destination, providing an integrated entertainment experience for spectators, both basketball enthusiasts and visitors seeking varied leisure activities.
His Highness emphasised the importance of maintaining the current pace of work to complete all preparations on schedule, in a manner that reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain’s standing and reinforces the confidence of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) in its organisational capabilities.
