Manama : Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, received Lieutenant General Sir Charlie Collins, Deputy Chief of Defence Staff for Military Strategy and Operations of the United Kingdom.
Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor; and Shaikh Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Strategic Security Bureau, were present.
His Highness welcomed Lieutenant General Sir Charlie Collins, highlighting the depth of the historical and strategic relations between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, as well as the close and evolving cooperation between the two countries across various fields, particularly in the military and defence sectors.
His Highness also stressed the importance of the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA) as a key pillar in strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The meeting also addressed areas of cooperation that serve the two countries’ mutual interests, as well as ways to enhance coordination and consultation on various challenges. The two sides exchanged views on the most significant regional and international developments in support of security and stability.
