Kuala Lumpur : His Excellency Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, visited the Bahrain Village organised by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) at the Sepang International Circuit as part of the activities accompanying the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix race in Malaysia.

HE Malaysian Prime Minister was received by Sara Ahmed Buhiji, CEO of the BTEA, who accompanied HE Prime Minister Ibrahim on a tour of the village, along with Dr Waleed Khalifa Al Manea, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Malaysia.
HE the Malaysian Prime Minister viewed the experiences offered by the village, which reflect the cultural and heritage identity of Bahrain. These include cultural activities, live handicraft demonstrations and the participation of local Bahraini food brands, offering race visitors a diverse view of the Kingdom’s heritage and culinary traditions.

HE Prime Minister Ibrahim also learned about the opportunity provided by the Bahrain Village to showcase Bahrain’s tourism and cultural attractions to a wide international audience through an experience that combines popular heritage with a contemporary character and highlights the diversity of tourism experiences offered by the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Bahrain Village is part of the authority’s efforts to use major international sporting events as platforms to promote the Kingdom and reach new audiences in international markets, helping strengthen the presence of Bahrain as a diverse tourism and cultural destination.
