Manama : The Supreme Committee for Hajj and Umrah Affairs has opened registration for those wishing to perform Hajj in the 1448 AH – 2027 season, from 3pm on September 27 until midnight on October 3, through the Hajj e-platform, haj.gov.bh, using the upgraded eKey 2.0.
Applicants can add up to four companions to each application. All details must be completed and checked for accuracy, identity verification procedures must be completed, and applicants and their companions must be free of illnesses that prevent them from performing Hajj, according to the list approved by the relevant health authorities.
The committee said applicants must update their details in the national government notifications system, to ensure they receive all alerts and notifications related to Hajj procedures. Their identity cards must also be valid.
After registration closes, those who meet the requirements will be notified of preliminary acceptance based on the priority criteria among applicants. The date for selecting Hajj Tour Operators will be set later.
To confirm provisionally accepted applications, each person must pay BD500 to confirm their commitment. The amount will be counted towards the total price of the Hajj package.
The committee said Hajj Tour Operators will be given sufficient time to announce their packages and prices, emphasising that they are not currently allowed to advertise until they receive approval for the Hajj trips they have applied to operate.
