Cairo : Bahrain’s Good Word Society has won the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Award for Best Charitable Performance in the Arab World, marking a significant achievement in its charitable and humanitarian efforts.
The award ceremony, held recently in Cairo, was attended by Dr. Maya Morsy, Egyptian Minister of Social Solidarity; Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, the Assistant Secretary General and the Head of Social Affairs Sector at the Arab League; Dr. Nasser Al Qahtani, Director General of the Arab Administrative Development Organization; Dr. Isa bin Hassan Al Ansari, Secretary-General at the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Human Development; Saleh bin Eid Al Husseini, Saudi Ambassador to Egypt; and Adel Al Asoumi, Former President of the Arab Parliament.
The award recognises Good Word Society’s dedication to supporting those in need and improving the lives of vulnerable families through various sustainable development projects and initiatives.
Hassan Bu Hazza, President of the Good Word Society, expressed pride in the achievement, saying, “The award is a testament to our team’s unwavering commitment to the noble mission of charity and serving the community.” He further acknowledged the collective efforts that contributed to the success of the association’s projects and thanked the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for this recognition.
Bu Hazza noted that this prestigious award serves as a strong motivation for the association’s team to continue their humanitarian work for the benefit of Bahrain and communities across the Arab and Islamic world.
The ceremony honoured 27 leading Arab organisations recognised for their exceptional achievements in humanitarian work across the region.
