Manama, : Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, met today the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, as part of his visit to Bahrain to participate in the 19th session of the Manama Dialogue.
The two sides reviewed the cooperation relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the League of Arab States, and the efforts undertaken by the Secretariat General to advance the process of joint Arab action and promote Arab cooperation to a more comprehensive level in order to meet the interests of Arab countries and the aspirations of their people for security, stability and peace.
They also discussed the ongoing Arab efforts to stop the war in the Gaza Strip, open safe passages for civilians and the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian and relief aid. They also discussed the outcomes of the Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit held in Riyadh on November 11, and ways to continue Arab efforts to push the peace process in the Middle East.
