New Delhi : Professor Marike Patrani Paulsson, Secretary General of the Council for International Dispute Resolution, held a high-level meeting with Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State, Ministry of Law and Justice of the Republic of India on the sidelines of the UNCITRAL Celebratory Conference in India.
The meeting focused on further strengthening bilateral cooperation across legal, judicial, and investment channels. Discussions addressed shared priorities between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of India, including the promotion of investment, legal and judicial collaboration, and ongoing efforts to build modern frameworks for the resolution of international disputes.
The meeting also explored means to support cross-border investment, strengthen institutional and legal ties and identify next steps for cooperation.
The meeting was also attended by Anna Joubin-Bret, Secretary of UNCITRAL, R. Venkataramani, Learned Attorney General for India; Dr. S. Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India; Dr. Pinky Anand, Former Additional Solicitor General of India and Judge at the Bahrain International Commercial Court; and Mahdi Jaafar, representative of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in New Delhi.
