Tianjin : Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasised that the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) security forum now bears “greater responsibility” for safeguarding regional peace and stability, as well as promoting the development and prosperity of its member states.
The Chinese President’s remarks came during the SCO Summit in the northern Chinese city of Tianjin which was attended by 20 world leaders.
Speaking at the welcome banquet, President Jinping said the summit shouldered the mission of building consensus among all parties and stimulating momentum in cooperation.
