Manama : Sara Ahmed Buhjji, Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), said that Jewellery Arabia 2025 continues to strengthen the Kingdom of Bahrain’s position as a regional hub for major exhibitions, with more than 650 exhibitors from 29 countries participating this year.
Buhjji highlighted the long-standing partnership between BTEA and Informa Markets and noted the exhibition’s steady growth over more than three decades.
She said the 2025 edition brings together international and Bahraini pavilions showcasing jewellery, gold craftsmanship, local jewellery design, and luxury watch brands. She added that BTEA has focused on improving visitor services, easing movement between halls, and expanding dining options, supported by coordinated transport and hospitality arrangements for international visitors.
Buhjji said that Exhibition World Bahrain’s modern facilities have attracted large-scale events, supported by cooperation across government entities. She noted that exhibitions such as Jewellery Arabia, Cityscape, and Scent Arabia contribute to activity in the tourism, hospitality, logistics, and aviation sectors and support the Tourism Strategy 2022–2026.
She also highlighted the role of Team Bahrain, including the Ministry of Interior, Customs Affairs, and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, in facilitating logistics and improving exhibitor services, including customs processes through a digital platform.
Mohammed Ibrahim, General Manager of Informa Markets, said the company’s partnership with BTEA reflects effective public–private cooperation. He noted that the Kingdom of Bahrain has demonstrated a strong ability to host high-level international events in recent years, supported by advanced infrastructure, experienced government teams, and the government’s efforts led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He said Informa Markets has worked to enhance the visitor experience through improved entry procedures, expanded parking, and a unified digital information platform, while continuing to highlight Bahraini participation and support national products.
