Manama : Bahrain’s BRAVE Combat Federation will hold BRAVE CF 82 in Mauritius on May 11, in cooperation with the Mauritius MMA Federation.
BRAVE CF aims to expand its presence in the African continent after hosting two events in South Africa and Morocco, which makes Mauritius the third African nation to host a BRAVE CF event.
Through holding an event in Mauritius, BRAVE CF also aims to establish a sustainable sports system and enhance partnership with host countries, in accordance with the vision of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports First Deputy Chairman, Geneal Sports Authority Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President.
Ahead of the historic event, a press conference was held at the Labourdonnais Waterfront in Port-Louis, highlighting the significance of the upcoming event.
Attended by Mauritius MMA Federation President Avinash Ramtohul, Club Mauritius Chairman Giandev Moootia and Maubarak Boodhun, Consultant (Former Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Sports), the press conference highlighted the role of the upcoming BRAVE CF event in changing the MMA landscape in Mauritius.
Addressing the press conference, Ramtohul underlined the importance of the upcoming event and mentioned how it can unearth the potential of MMA in Mauritius, noting that it will open opportunities for local athletes and inspire them to new heights, as well as shape their MMA careers and achieve the highest-ended MMA development.
He added that BRAVE CF 82 will bring unparalleled exposure and opportunities to Mauritian and African fighters, stressing that the event not only elevates the country’s profile on the global MMA stage but also contributes significantly to boosting tourism, local businesses, and the overall economic landscape.
Mauritius Chairman Giandev Moootia indicated that BRAVE CF event in Mauritius will bring positive global attention to the host country and its business communities thanks to its high involvement in several international media alliances across the world.
Maubarak Boodhun said that the event will provide Mauritius MMA fans with a unique opportunity to come and see for themselves what sports can bring.
